Natural Psoriasis Treatment


The water of the Dead Sea is totally unique because it contains ten times more salt than other sea water and the mineral composition differs because less than eighteen percent is composed of sodium chloride, yet ninety seven percent of the salt in other ocean water contains sodium chloride.

Historically, the Dead Sea is renowned for its therapeutic properties and various culture visited for therapy. It is a popular ingredient in bath and cosmetic products and has great skin healing properties.

When added to a bath Dead Sea salts can be effective for Psoriatic Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Osteoarthritis.  Blood circulation is stimulated as the minerals are absorbed whilst soaking. 

Studies into skin disorders such as psoriasis have shown that this condition is relieved by regular soaking in water with added Dead Sea salt. The National Psoriasis Foundation recommends Dead Sea and Dead Sea salts as an effectual treatment for psoriasis.  A study by Proksch, Ehrhardt MD, PhD et al. concluded that the high concentration of magnesium in Dead Sea salt improved skin hydration and reduced inflammation.

The high concentration of magnesium and bromide in the Dead Sea salt can relieve allergies by cleansing and detoxifying.

A follow on review into Dead Sea salt benefits has demonstrated a 40% reduction in the depth of wrinkling.

  2. I've heard Dead sea salts work very well for skin complaints but I know someone who used them for psoriasis and she found that it really stung. She didn't use it again.
